Demon X-Treme Heavy Duty Race Spec Tie Rods are engineered as a high-performance steering upgrade for your Can-Am Renegade 1000, delivering exceptional strength, precision, and durability for aggressive off-road and racing applications.
Each tie rod is CNC machined from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 billet aluminum, a high-strength material known for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and fatigue resistance. This construction provides the rigidity and durability required to handle demanding steering loads while maintaining a lightweight design.
Heavy-duty chromoly steel rod ends are chrome and zinc plated to provide additional strength and corrosion resistance in harsh off-road conditions. PTFE-lined joints provide a self-lubricating, low-maintenance design, while durable CR protective boots help shield the joints from dust, mud, water, and trail debris.
The tie rods feature opposite-direction threads at each end, allowing the front-wheel toe angle to be adjusted directly on the vehicle. Simply rotate the tie rod while your Can-Am Renegade 1000 is resting on its own weight, then tighten the jam nuts to secure the adjustment.

MATERIAL STRENGTH
Demon Xtreme Heavy Duty tie rods are made from 7075 aluminum, which is over 70% stronger than the tie rods of same size that are made of 6061, a commonly used material by our competitors. During our bend tests, our fully assembled tie rod can withstand over 2,200 lbs load right in the middle, and bounce back to it's original shape like nothing happened. It means you don't have to worry about bending, denting the rods or damaging the threads like you would with 6061 aluminum. 7075 aluminum excels where 6061 would fail.
HEIM JOINT
Our outboard heim joint features a high-durability 3-piece assembly design, ensuring exceptional strength and reliability. The joint body is crafted from 4135 Chromoly Alloy Steel, while the inner ball is made from hardened bearing steel, polished, and hard chrome plated for maximum wear resistance. Equipped with a maintenance-free PTFE insert, it provides smooth operation without the need for lubrication. With an impressive radial static load rating of 17,990 lbs, this heim joint delivers unmatched performance. The inboard heim is precision-engineered to fit seamlessly onto the OE pitman arm, ensuring a perfect fit and reliable function.
