Demon X-Treme Heavy Duty Race Spec Axles take our XHD axle platform to the next level, combining extreme-duty CV components with a high-strength 300M axle shaft engineered for demanding performance on your Can-Am Maverick R.
Developed for racing, high-horsepower machines, oversized tires, aggressive suspension setups, and severe off-road conditions, the Race Spec axle is designed to withstand high shock loads while maintaining the strength and flexibility required in extreme applications.
At the heart of the Race Spec design is a 300M steel axle shaft. 300M is a high-strength alloy based on 4340 chromoly steel with additional alloying elements, including increased silicon and vanadium. This material provides exceptional strength, toughness, and resistance to demanding operating conditions while allowing the shaft to flex under load rather than behaving as an overly rigid component.
The 300M shaft is paired with heavy-duty XHD CV joints and components designed for severe off-road use. Internal CV components are engineered for strength and durability, while micro-polished surfaces help reduce friction and operating temperatures during demanding use.
High-quality molybdenum grease provides smooth and consistent lubrication throughout the CV joints, while the heavy-duty cage and internal design help withstand aggressive suspension movement, hard impacts, increased horsepower, and oversized tires.

The Demon Axle features a dual plunge design that allows extra suspension travel while preventing binding, delivering smooth performance across challenging terrains. With an impressive articulation angle of up to 47°, it ensures maximum flexibility and control. The stock-length axles are compatible with most bracket lift kits up to 3 inches and any portal lift setup, offering wide customization options. Engineered to be up to 40% stronger than standard 4340 XHD axles, these axles boast a maximum breaking torque of 6,400Nm for unmatched durability. They are also available for popular long-travel kits, with customized axle options available upon inquiry.
CV JOINT
The forged CV joints are fully constructed from 4340 Chromoly steel, including the race and cage, ensuring exceptional strength and durability. Each internal component is specially engineered to enhance structural integrity while reducing heat generation during high-performance use. The inner cavity is micro-polished to maintain tight tolerance control and minimize friction-related heat buildup. A specialized surface finish further accelerates heat dissipation, keeping the joint cool under pressure. Packed with premium lithium-based grease, these CV joints deliver peak reliability, smooth operation, and long-lasting performance.

Crafted from aircraft-grade 300M steel, this axle is built for exceptional strength and durability. The straight shaft design is precisely engineered to maximize size and strength while eliminating stress concentrations for superior reliability.
