How Heat Affects CV Joint Performance

Heat is one of the biggest things riders do not think about until a CV joint starts showing problems.

A machine may be running fine on the surface, but once riding conditions get tougher, temperature starts becoming a real factor in how the axle and CV joint perform. Mud, sand, bigger tires, rough terrain, long rides, heavy loads, and aggressive use can all create more stress in the driveline. When that stress turns into excess heat, CV joint performance can start changing fast.
